However, our environment influences our choices (more or less expensive and accessible products, advertising, etc.). And the sweeter we eat, the more sugar we crave. MAYbe Less Sugar is mobilising a wide network of partners to promote an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.environnements-sante.ch\/repertoire\/repertoire-mesures\/?_sft_facteur_sante=alimentation\">environment <\/a>that helps us make healthier choices.    <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On May 2, 2023, a call to action under the aegis of the Food and Health Alliance was launched, with the support of 50 health organisations<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/alliancealimentation.ch\/fr\/zuckermanifest\/unsere-forderungen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">A call to action for a clear reduction in sugar in our diet<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color\">Added sugars: <br>What are they?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>These are all the isolated sugars used in ready-to-eat products (sweet drinks, sweets, pastries, cookies, etc.) or the sugar we add to what we eat and cook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike naturally occurring sugars in foods such as fruit or milk, added sugars are not essential to our diet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The list of ingredients indicates whether there are any, but you need to know all their little names<a href=\"https:\/\/maybeless-sugar.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Guide-pour-la-definition-et-le-calcul-des-sucres-ajoutes-4.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">(see list<\/a>). Labels do not specify the amount of sugar. That&#8217;s why pediatricians recommend avoiding added sugars up to the age of 3, and limiting them thereafter. Non-sugar sweeteners encourage our taste for sweetness. shelf life, color, taste, texture, volume&#8230; These sugars have many advantages and are present in many products today, without us even realising it. It&#8217;s not easy to stop consuming them&#8230; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By changing certain habits, I can reduce my consumption and still enjoy my food at the same time. You don&#8217;t have to aim for zero added sugar to stay in shape.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First of all, I need to know how much added sugar I&#8217;m consuming, which products contain it and in what quantities.\nBut it&#8217;s not easy to find out by reading labels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By taking part in MAYbe Less Sugar, I find answers to my questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-primary-color has-text-color\">How to reduce my consumption<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The most important thing if I want to succeed in reducing my consumption is to set practical, REALISTIC goals I can stick to. And if I feel I can do it easily, I can then modify my goal little by little. Rome wasn&#8217;t built in a day!  <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" I can easily achieve my goals, <\/strong><br><strong>I can adapt them to reduce my consumption<br>a little more, if I feel like it.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" Home-cooked meals bring real personal satisfaction, and make you more aware of what you&#8217;re eating, rather than eating ready-made meals. When I cook for myself, I measure the amount of sugar I add.<\/p>\n\n\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<div id=\"accordion-block_a110ed555e21405b1a9f175a9ad7d778\" class=\"block-accordion tab mb-10\">\n    <input type=\"checkbox\" id=\"tab-block_a110ed555e21405b1a9f175a9ad7d778\" >\n    <label class=\"flex flex-col tab-label\" for=\"tab-block_a110ed555e21405b1a9f175a9ad7d778\">\n        <span class=\"border-t-[3px] pr-10 border-t-primary pt-4 cursor-pointer font-display title\">After a good meal, go for a walk<\/span>\n            <\/label>\n    <div class=\"tab-content\">\n        \n\n<p>Going for a walk, even just for 10 to 15 minutes, after eating helps with digestion and reduces the urge to keep eating. <\/p>\n\n\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<div id=\"accordion-block_598a9db479796fa3966fb68839fddf0f\" class=\"block-accordion tab mb-10\">\n    <input type=\"checkbox\" id=\"tab-block_598a9db479796fa3966fb68839fddf0f\" >\n    <label class=\"flex flex-col tab-label\" for=\"tab-block_598a9db479796fa3966fb68839fddf0f\">\n        <span class=\"border-t-[3px] pr-10 border-t-primary pt-4 cursor-pointer font-display title\">In case of cravings, try some alternatives<\/span>\n            <\/label>\n    <div class=\"tab-content\">\n        \n\n<p>If you have cravings, enjoy your favorite fruit or a few nuts, almonds or mixed nuts instead.
